Barrio Custom Fly Rods
Our new 3wt and 5wt fly rods, researched and developed by David Norwich and Mike Barrio. Designed, rolled and built in David's workshop in the Scottish Borders, these attractive 3 piece teal blue blanks have been crafted by a true rodmaker, somebody that eats, sleeps and dreams about fly rod lengths, actions and tapers ..... not so very different from my addiction to fly line tapers I guess!
The new Barrio LC series are outstanding custom built fly rods, featuring our new exclusively designed blanks and top quality components. A nickel silver reel seat with a box elder burl wooden insert, lightweight single leg rings and a top quality flor grade cork handle, lathe turned to our custom reverse half wells design.
These are super crisp, accurate and sensitive fly rods. Our new exclusive taper design powers up and loads quickly for close range tactics, the tip section offers delicacy at short to mid range, yet the unique blank design allows a dimension in fly line control that will amaze when you push your casting to extreme distance, especially with the 3wt model.
The Barrio LC series has been designed to excel with today's modern longbelly fly lines ( including of course, the new Barrio GT140 Fly Line ) Our new rods have fast recovery with powerful reserves, yet they retain that elusive "feel" that is so often lost in this kind of fly rod. Equally at home on our rivers and lochs, the new Barrio fly rods are simply a pleasure to fish with!
Comfortable at all distances and giving great feedback, our new rods allow impressive line and loop control, which helps to make presentation casts that much easier and carrying longer lengths of fly line that more enjoyable.
Each Barrio fly rod carries an individual serial number and comes supplied with a heavy duty olive cordura rod tube with shoulder strap.

Barrio LC903 and LC905 fly rods are available for only £375 including free postage within the UK. We carry a limited number of our LC Series fly rods in stock, but these are not mass produced fly rods with a large "off the shelf" availability.

International Customers: We are afraid that shipping our fly rods to international destinations is not really viable due to the costs involved, but if you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us via Email. In our experience your additional international shipping costs would be somewhere in the region of £50 to £100 depending on your location.
